BIO
Tanj, or TJ, to my friends, I’m a creative business owner and longtime communications consultant, shaped by two coasts: Australia and the Adriatic.
A lifelong lover of limestone, the ancestral pull proved too much in 2017 – and I’m now proudly ‘at home’ in the Balkans more than my hometown (much as I appreciate it). I’ve devised, delivered and advised on over 100 remote work focused projects and events in this region. I love the freedom remote, asynchronous work brings for an individual and community. I also enjoy co-creating on the ground, having worked with some impressive people I am proud to call colleagues and friends. You can learn more over at DNA Croatia (where I volunteer) or on my neglected online presence for Saltwater Nomads. I’m sure it’ll restart again, soon.
Right now, I’m taking a new path with interior design, and about to renovate a beautiful stone apartment in Šibenik. The reign of Slavic Chic is over.
Other important info: I’m a Rod Stewart and classic rock fan. I believe Life is long, precious and meant to be enjoyed. I also need a place for my new dog!

Rio Tara 2025
Rio Tara, an 80km river known as ‘The Tear of Europe’ is where this chapter starts. Also, this is just a first draft – which always suck! Standby, for the finesse.
